I do , very rarely use the tumble dryer, I think when you hang your clothes out in the fresh air they always easier to iron and your white´s are even more whiter as they are bleached naturally by sun

i used to live by the sea and hung clothes out to dry on roof top... they ended up smelling a bit salty at times but always really fresh... in the end i always put sheets out to dry but clothes stayed inside as I worried that the salt would cause problems... still didn't use tumble dryer though.. was a poor student!
nowadays I love the tumble dryer when it comes to towels and sheets but in the summer I love the freshness you get from air dried sheets :) Those tumble dryer scent sheets never seem to work.

Both...I love hanging clothes out on the line to partially dry. I do not dry them all the way and then finish them off in the dryer to soften them up. They have the freshness from the air and the softness from the dryer. Since they are partially dry, you do not have to run the dryer as long

Absolutely. The only time I use my dryer is when the weather prevents me from hanging things outside. Not only do I save on my electric bill, the clothes, towels, etc. smell wonderful. And the whites get even whiter in the sun. I have one of those lines that fold up and down. You can even remove it when you don't want it in the yard.

I would use my tumble dryer everytime, i don't have to worry if anyone is going to steal my clothes or if its going to rain, and besides most of my clothes don't even need ironing when i take them from the dryer.

Do it all the time, in preference to the tumble dryer. Saves money, and if shaken out well and aired, smells and feels so much better.
Although the conservation of energy, and much more importantly, money, is a great incentive.

In the summertime I do. Since I live away from the city, the clothes end up smelling like trees and grass. Then I tumble the clothes in the drier for a minute to soften them.

In the summer all my stuff is dried out side on the line
in winter or rainy weather it's put on the clothes horse
only my bedding and towels are put in the dryer in the winter.

Weather permitting, I always hang mine outside. In the winter or when it's raining I have an old fashioned clothes horse, and if I'm in a hurry there's always the radiator.
