Wade was the best candidate that was interviewed. the Defense was the reason the Cowboys fell out of contention late in the season, so a defensive-minded coach was the best choice.
Would you have rather Jerry gone with an rookie coach to take over the NFL's most popular team?
Neil: Lovie Smith is still under contract with the Bears, and wasn't available to the Cowboys even if they wanted him.

He should've gone hard after Lovie Smith, he was gettable if he'd gone after him. I know he resigned but I still felt sorry for the Big Tuna as he was a muffed snap away from winning that game in Seattle and the Cowboys were decent enough to certainly get further.

jerry jones has just appointed himself head coach through a "puppet". it's not done right unless you do it youself. and the new stadium will be pretty and you know it.
