i think they could serve their purpose in school, but i don't think they should be on during class. As for the argument of - what about an emergency - well my answer is do it the old fashioned way - call the school.

Definitely not!! The United States is already falling farther behind the rest of the world every year in education. We sure don't need cell phones distracting kids even more. School is a place where you are supposed to be learning.

no. they are useful but you are in school, you will see your friends there, why do you need to be on the phone with them. The rules should not be as strick because they are needed before and after school, but there have been too many cases of taking pictures of test and giving them to students in the next class so they can study better. Students just need to put them away or put them on silent when they are in class, you are there to learn.
basically.. they should be allowed in school because some students need to contact their parents before and after school, but they should not be used during the day

yes, because many people require them at after school activities. And think Columbine would have ended a lot sooner if every one would of had a cell phone!

the two and each and each month once I get my residing house telephone invoice, I ask myself why. i think of three human beings have the extensive form. i think of i've got made and won (entire of the two jointly, concepts you) 4 calls on it interior the final 6 months. yet nevertheless...I save it. Why? i don't be attentive to...could be some deep seated lack of self assurance, lol, some as yet undiagnosed, unnatural emotional attachment to landline telephones? Yeah...phonaphobic separation illness or something...hmmm...contemplate whether it would qualify me as heavily disturbed adequate to ditch gainful employment and collect a examine or something? Lol...nah, no longer rather, so i assume i will merely save paying a surely ineffective invoice each and each month till???

I think there should be fairly strict penalties if they are left on and ring in class, and even stricter penalties if someone is using them in class for IMing. It's usually hard enough to learn in school without this added distraction.

No, cell phones shouldn't be taken to school, just use the payphone. Why does a child need a phone while he/she is supposed to be learning?
