Tomlinson is the better running back...more traditional, a better runner, and he can also catch passes. Reggie can split time at WR/RB so he's effective in making it difficult for defenses. But if I were starting a football team, I would always draft Tomlinson over Bush, period.

Well, This is a hard Question, I'm From San Diego and played football against Reggie Bush when he was in High School but, seeing the abilities of LaDainian Tomlinson first hand is crazy, He's Ontrack to break 10,000 total yards next season that quicker then Anybody. He has the Single Season Rushing Touchdown Record and he did it in 13 Games (Remember the NFL Season was 14 Games in the 70's) if you can think of a Record he'll break it but, as for Reggie Bush, he's a Media Don, ESPN loves him but, if it takes you half a season to get your first touchdown while Ladanian Tomlinson is breaking records you have to wonder if the hype is necessary, and dont blame that on him working for a system that uses 2 backs because, Michael Turner, LaDainian's back-up still posted as good as numbers as Bush....You have to Wonder...

Ladainian for sure, let's start comparing these guys when Reggie stops acting like he's god's gift to football without the numbers. When the numbers come in, which he will be good, but when he gets 30 plus td's and he plays with the confidence that LT does then its possible to put these two in the same sentence. We're talking LT 3rd best running back in history behind Walter and Barry only. The Heisman Trophy curse is still around the corner possibily for ol Reginald.

.........LT's played 6 years in the league ...by no means old, but NFL knowledge and expierence wise he's ALOT older than Reggie Bush. however Bush has worked out and gotten talks from LT when he was in college, LT never got talks from LT (:D) .....but LT has also been tutored (/given tips) by greats like Sanders, Brown, Faulk, Smith, Allen, etc.

Reggie is pretty skinny for his height so he'll have to be able to take his scat-backing to a barry-sanders type level to be VERY good in the NFL (you can't juke too many guys out if you can't get past the line of scrimmage). For now reggie will just be a "trick" weapon (for runs or passes) while LT is the king of RBs.

****comments on posts after mine****
NO's line is pretty good, not the best, but good --plus Mike Karney is an up and coming FB (plays like Lo Neal ---who was drafted by the saints).
& Reggie Bush's #s arn't low because he split time, they're low because he thinks he can sweep around every play and couldn't even manage 4 yards a carry this year (you're supposed to have high YPC when you don't run full time !). As of now -- Barry Sanders he is not (as Barry was the only guy who could almost never run between the tackles and still rack up the yardage he did).

I have to say L.T. as long as he stays in San Diego, he has the better O-Line to give him running lanes, if you want to go with his own personal gain, if you want to go with the team in whole, LT and the Chargers will do better also, That offense takes the ball on 12-13 play drives, keeping the other offense off the field, wearing out the opponents defense, thats why they scored like an average of 29-30 points per game and had the amazing season they did, except for playoffs.....Now with that being said, Reggie can be great, i just dont see it happening really in New Orleans....If he was running in Kansas City's offense, i might say he would be better in a few years, but its hard to compare the two since they are like 5 years different from each other

When you ask that you have to take in the comment "Years to come" LT right now. But in the years to come Reggie Bush will be old and Wiser. On top of that he is already really good. So I say Reggie Bush

Ladainian T has the edge for the next four years
particularly in the blocking and tough grinding yards.
Reggie Bush needs three more years.

LT. The only fair active people to compare him to is Shawn Alexander and Larry Johnson. If Edgerrin James had a line in front of him maybe him too. Bush is a good player, but using his current skills he is not at the level of these guys. He can improve however to get into this group, but he would have to improve on his current skill level.

LT is gong to be better because san diego is better than the saints. The other reason is the reggie got to share time deuce which will hurt his numbers. LT is just amzing the most exciting back in NFL and just happens to be the most humble

LT is more of an all around back, and Bush relies on explosiveness, so LT
