If you had a daughter who was sexually assaulted and the perp got off lightly what would you do? Let it go? Become a vigilante?

My first instinct would be to kill the SOB. Then, hopefully common sense would prevail. I wouldn't be much help in prison.
I'd probably become an advocate for sexual assault victims. I'd do whatever I could to help change the laws that allow these horrible creatures to get off so lightly.

I would fight the system,legally in every way possible. Becoming a vigilante is not the way because then you are breaking the law and will end up doing more time then they would and that would do nothing to resolve this problem.
Perps need to get help for this problem while incarcerated because most will be let out into society. Is killing them the answer? I don't know. IT seems that these type of people are like animals in that they do not seem to have the ability to reason unlike a normal human being. So we need to try to understand ways of dealing with this.
There are animals to which we are their prey and yet we train them and have them as show animals and pets.

No; it wouldn't help her for me to end up in jail. If I had a daughter who had been sexually assaulted, I'd do my best to help her work through it, and to know that SHE was not the one at fault. What the courts decide to do with the perp is up to the courts; my job as her parent would be to keep her safe, and to help her heal.

I think that you should be concentrating all your energy on helping your daughter through this horrific ordeal and pray that this doesn't leave her desolate for the rest of her life and stop using all your energy on the perp - dont let this person have that control over you.

first of all you need to be a good listioner.
how close are you to youre daughter?
second of all try to be there for her any and i mean any thing.
with out being compulsive, if you no what I mean.
now theres nothing that you can do to change the past except this, ok its done.
move on as best that you can.

ohhhhh, i would walk right up to the disgusting petifile, and just rip his face off. id snap, i dont care whos around, no one and i mean no one f**ks with my kids.
i would make sure that i teare his lips off and smack that bastard with them.
he better pray to god once i get my hands on him, id kill that pig.
and i hope that once he goes to jail that he gets raped himself, and he will see what its like, i hope they do that to that c**ksucker.
no one puts up with those people in jail trust me.
