I mean no birth control pills, no condoms, nothing...

I bet ppl will come in and scream "HELL NO!"

But what of the ancients? They had no condoms or birth control pills.. Yes some of them must have found a way, otherwise the world would have been overpopulated by now. ;)

I know there's a certain time during every month when a woman can have sex without getting pregnant. ("period"?)
However, I also heared that sex during this time can be quite messy and bloody. How does this thing work?

Provided the two partners are clean, and there's no fear of getting an STD, how would they go about having sex during the above mentioned time?

But what of the ancients?? They had lots of children. The women kept having children until they died due to pregnancy or childbirth complications.

Keep it in your pants. You are not mature enough to be having sex.

A woman can get pregnant anytime of the month. On their period or not.

There is not a fool proof way of unprotected sex and not getting pregnant. Some people or set on the pull out method, but you can still get pregnant from that due to pre-***.

you say what about ancients, well I do know alot of cultures relied on herbs as medication. Some people still say their are certain herbs that can prevent pregnancy. maybe there is your of why they didn't always get pregnant. Or maybe sex was not everything like it is now days.

"However, I also heared that sex during this time can be quite messy and bloody. How does this thing work?

I understand you are saying if you know the person did not have aids, but you refer back to the "above mentioned time" which was about when a girl is on her period. But are you aware that you can get aids anytime you have sex unprotected. And even protection is not a 100%. You can't just get an std when she is on her period. Please take note of that.

A woman can only get pregnant during ovulation.. seems that alot of people do not know this. There are only a few days a month when a woman ovulates. The thing is the woman will have to know when she is doing this...which ALOT of them have no idea when that is. Another thing to know is a male's sperm can live up to about 6 days if healthy. So even though it is possible a woman is not ovulating at the time of intercourse, the sperm could still be healthy enough to travel to the egg if she were to start ovulation within that time frame. So to be honest, there are a few small windows of opportunity, but there will never be a guarantee. Protection is the only way to prevent pregnancy. You can not rely on the pull-out method, due to precum, it can get a woman pregnant as well. There are so many birth control methods out there pills, patches, rings, diaphragms, condoms, foams, you name it. Find one that make you feel comfortable and use it everytime. Foams are good if you are wanting to have a natural feel. But keep in mind NOTHING is a 100%. Hope this helps.

You could have sex on the girl's period by doing it in the shower or putting down a towel on the bed/floor/couch/backseat. It's really not that big a deal.

BUT this does NOT mean she can't get pregnant. Every woman's ovulation time is different! Some women do ovulate either right before their period or right after, meaning that if you have sex on her period, there may already be an egg in her fallopian tubes...or one may be on the way, and considering your sperm can live for up to five days...I wouldn't like those odds. the only eay to know for sure she wasn't going to get pregnant (without using birth control of some sort) would be if she monitored her fertiliy with an ovulation predictor (which works much like a home pregnancy test...you pee on it and it says if you're ovulating or not)...and she'd have to do it for a few months befor you could be good to go...because she'd have to be sure she was regular, and you couldn't have sex for five days before and two days after the ovulation. It would take a lot of work and math and self-control.

I say if you ABSOLUTELY ARE NOT READY for a baby, don't have unprotected sex anytime, because her cycle can always change, and if she's not ovulating today she may well just release an egg tomorrow. Birth control pills, however, stop this ovulation...and they're not difficult to take or obtain (you can get them for free at planned parenthood or your local health department). Until you're ready for kids, you shouldn't have unprotected sex...because that's how babies are made, plain and simple.

Here's a quick answer: A woman can get pregnant at any time. As for natural or herbal methods of contraception, I don't know of any and wouldn't trust any. I've heard of girls going without any form of protection and not getting pregnant for months at a time, but it's not as though anyone can do that. The only way I can think of that might not have been mentioned is to get your tubes cut, which essentially sterilizes you so you cannot get a girl pregnant no matter how hard you try. This operation is very hard to undo, and can be done to a woman also. Birth control isn't so bad though, if you absolutely don't want to use condoms or other methods.

First off the ancients, if you've really read history you'd see how many of those ancients actaully had tons of children. Just look at the bible (sorry had to mention it) Some of them had 12+ kids. Yikes!!!
Women can get pregnant any time of the month even when she has her period, so don't count on that being helpful. If you really want to take chances, and don't see a reason to take any birth control method, try pulling out.

Don't even flatter yourself regardless how u plan it unprotected sex is what it is.Its not smart and once a woman/man gives it up it's gone forever and u cant get that back so be smart about it and @ the same time don't make a child u haven't planned so use a spermicide and tell her 2 use the patch cause its a birth control woman can wear and so is the Nova ring. Then u can still have sex w/out the condom, however it doesn't protect neither one of u from STDS.It's solely up 2 u and her and remember u have been warned.

You could always go to the doctor the day after and get a pill called the morning after pill using this pill would 99% guarantee you will not be pregnant. There are certain times in the month when its unlikely to be pregnant but you should not go by that. If you are worried or would like to have unprotected sex i would suggest the morning after pill.

Her child can get any STD that the guy may be carrying. You can't have twins because it takes 9 months to form a human fetus ready to be born. Your body's hormones stop producing fertile eggs when you get pregnant because the hormones change radically. Birth control pills work by faking the hormones of pregnancy - they fool your body into thinking it is already pregnant.

In the ancient times many people would have been killed for half the things they do now...fear was probably their birth control.
So, to answer your question if you have sex, you can get a girl pregnant...unless either of you are infertile of course

It depends on when the woman ovulates. She can ovulate at any time during her cycle. I had sex while I was on my period...and guess what? I'm now 6 months pregnant.

There is NO accurate method of not getting pregnant and having unprotected sex.

Sorry.
