Oh, you don't mean it like that? There are various conversion programs.that you can use, or Wikipedia, or the built-in unit conversion that Google search does.
Just go to http://www.google.com/ and type "one liter in gallons" in the search box. Before the search results, you'll get a calculator result, which is one liter = 0.264172051 US gallons
Other values:
one liter = 33.8140226 US fluid ounces
one liter = 61.0237441 cubic inch
Also, one liter of water at 4 degrees Celsius is exactly one kilogram (volume <-> weight conversion).
As a voulme (if you think in imperial units), think of a cube that's 4 inch on a side - its volume is very close to 1 liter.
