I'm sorry, but you need to be a little more explicit with your question. When you refer to "bay area" are you talking about San Francisco, Baltimore, Tampa, Mobile, Seattle, Sidney, Rio, HongKong, or any other city on a bay?
Generically, I would try going online and looking for science teaching supplies or perhaps a Discovery Store in a mall. It doesn't qualify as "inexpensive' but it's a little hard to define without knowing where you are.
