When a couple gets married and want to have 'kids' will the kids grow to become old goats?

A more formal and correct word would be "child", but "kid" is acceptable in informal situations according to the dictionary.

I raise goats, so when I think of "kids" I first think of baby goats, but I know that most people don't think about that at all.
