she said victor in Frankenstein purposely planned for the monster to kill Elizabeth but most of the class and i feel that it was just victor's oversight in the monster's message....

your teacher is WRONG. why on earth would victor want to kill elizabeth?? the reason he created the monster was because he was so fascinated with his studies of human anatomy etc and just decided to create one as an experiment.

He did not plan for the moster to kill Elizabeth. It showed that he was neglegent when he created the monster. He did not foresee that his creation would become evil.

The best answer is "Yes, your teacher is right." You should play along, because that will end up getting you points on the essays. Keep your opinions amongst yourself and your friends, or else your grade will likely suffer. Analyzing a writing is subjective, anyway, so unless you can ask the source, no one is actually right; there is only a more probable answer.

Teachers don't always say what they really think. One of their numerous tasks is to say certain things and give opinions only to stir interest and to provoke students to think on their own. She seems to have succeeded.

Anyway, you can't deny that what she said is possible, isn't it?
