No, it sounds smug and taunting.

I would be upset. At first thought, No it doesn't sound like he was remorseful at all! Then on the other hand, It could sound as it was wrong, you can leave since I did wrong.... but he did not actually say I was wrong, only it was wrong. I would want an I.

I would want an apology, as an I am so sorry. I won't do it again. I want to make our marriage work. I will go to counseling...

I sure am sorry. It is hard to trust anyone who cheats on you. I hope you get what you are looking. I hope he really is truly sorry and really tries to make it up to you whether you stay with him or not.

I have been cheated on several times by boyfriends, not been married and cheated on, so I don't know what I would do then. My mothers brothers wife had an affair with her sisters husband. Her sister divorced the husband, but the brother stayed married to the wife. Forgiveness can be done and should be forgiven just to free your heart, but you don't ever have to forget or to stay with him. Hugs to you and prayers for your strength and courage.

no it does not sound a bit remorseful. as a matter of fact it sounds like they are wanting you too leave.
i think i would have come up with a better response than that if i really wanted that person to stay or even cared for that matter.

Girl this sounds so much like my Former Marriage..
My Husband used to cheat his Behind Off. and then He would say almost the same thing I have learned that that is their way off taking the focus off what they did and putting it on us. Be cause they then feel that are not accountable, They really dont think they have done anything wrong...SO Kinda of putting the ball in your court so again they can say they gave you a chance to decide..
Remember if you have to compromise your self worth then
He is not good enough for you.. But Please don't be like me and take 19 years to finally get it. They will never change. Because they never take ownership of the things they do....
you are in my prayers and I pray you are at peace with what ever you decide....

It sounds to me like he doesn't have the guts to leave you - he wants you to be the one to leave. He can then claim it was your fault - as you left him - he can use this line with family and friends and other women he tries to date - he sounds like a coward - and it sounds like it's time to call a good divorce lawyer!!!!!

Souds nicer than I don't want you anymore and you are free to leave anytime you want.

Makes you to be the bad guy instead of him. What a coward!
