its fun to see how americans know nothing about my country.. sad really.. we are expected to learn everyting about you folks.. but as soon as they are asked about us.. they are completely stupid.

Nothing, It's their culture and tradition. I'm sure if the older generation didn't want it, they would do something about it. But it's again it's their culture and tradition, who are we to get involved. Now if they had a tradition and culture of raping their own daughters or something a little more justified as morally wrong, maybe someone could/should step in.
in Africa many women get circumcised, and it's very dangerous...but again it's an accepted culture and tradition that outsiders should not be the ones determining whether or not in continues. It should be their choice.

It is not our place tell them what to do. This is part of the culture and we have no right to interfere. If it is their choice then you should be fine with that. Stuff like this caused wars and crusades and that only brought death and hatred. I am not coming down on you, however, you should understand this tradition has been taking place along time and will not likely change because outsiders disagree with it.

They only send old Ukranian hockey players. They'll be all right. We should really do something about them sending their moose to Newfoundland to be made into beer.
