Probably. England are just like Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. So over rated, and yet haven't stepped up to the plate with the best ability! The next world cup will be won by Holland, France or Spain. They are the teams england struggle against.

There are not any consistent goalkeepers on England. David Seaman grow to be generic yet he's lengthy retired. David James is, properly 40 2. Rob eco-friendly is Rob eco-friendly. Paul Robinson is okay yet he followers can not get well from the Croatia incident. Joe Hart shows a glimmer of desire. also, Englands midfield needs artwork. Gerrard and Lampard are growing previous. also, the attack needs 2 gamers who've chemistry. Owen is getting previous. Shearer is retired. England can not save switching off gamers to play with Rooney (Ronney & Bent, Rooney & Heskey, Rooney & Defoe, Rooney & Welbeck). also, too a lot controversy is being generated with meant affairs and in-combating among the team. till England fixes those issues, they is purely not solid adequate to win the international Cup, now to not indicate the european championships.

With McClaren as manager and those overpaid and overated players in the England squad, NO WAY!!! Those gutless players will write autographs again after each failed World Cup events. Prima donna at its best. Most probably the U21 team are much better than the 1st team squad, and they may even win something for England.

Totally agree. Until the foriegn players (although entertaining to watch) are reduced to to a set number per club, forinstance 4. Only then will we get a good number of decent players available for international duty. This would put pressure on the existing prima donnas the start playing good football. It would also help if Mmartin O'Neal was in charge instead of that FA yes man Mc larren

I don't agree. England may have a chnce now with Beckham out of the team. Beckham was good in his time, but that's it, I have faith in John Terry, I love him, he's definetly the best defender in the world (don't care if you disagree with me) John has prove himself to be a important man in the field, look how Chelsea needs him now that he's not playing, you can totally tell that the team went down without him. He's a good leader and an excellent player so maybe Enlgand haves a chance in 2010.

Despite their accomplishments, Italy has never impressed me. Anyone can take a stuntman course and learn how to fall down when someone runs past them.

I don't think England is overrated. I think they have a bad habit of playing to their opponents level, instead of dictating the way the game should go. I also think they need a better gameplan going into an international competition. They appear lost when going against certain styles of play.

But what do I know? Silly American.

They will the future is bright with wallcott and Lennon. It just that right not lampard and Gearrd are having problems problems and also the team is injured. Crouch is a waste of a striker and should kicked off the team all he does is controll the ball and kink it back where it came. England can do it they just gotta get some stuff sorted out

yeah agree agree.. and know wat? i feel that brazil is also not a very good team after all. they're actually just a team with superstars here and there.

look at france, italy and even argentina.. who agrees with me that there're more skillful players in those countries than the likes of brazil and england..

england has 100over players to choose from but mcclaren can't seem to find a proper team to play in the games.. this causes their downfall.. pick bridge instead of a.cole.. pick milner too. i tot he played really well against aston villa that day and even so he's more or less consistent.

but hey know what? the under-21 team is actually almost full of talent.. darren bent, ashley young, agbonlahor, walcott etc.. this team'll succeed.. eventually...

In football you require a lot of pascience in order to win things so England has all the quality requred to win anything but unfortunately it's not going their way.

I think they are only lacking the kind of coach who can come and turn things around as the one they have is not a world class one.

Thanx!

just because they lost, doesn't prove what they can do in the future, they have a new coach who is trying to see what place os best for who and what kind of play complement the team. i think with more time and competition like the cumming euro 208 they can prepared well for the world cup, IT has been long since, but when it's time there will be no stooping them even with the big guns in Europe.
