My mother is dependent on me and she is also an alcholic. My boyfriend is younger than me and is not very responsible but he does not disrespect her. She will do anything to get at him. I also have a child and I do not like her seeing my mother talk and act the way she does. I am sort of afraid that my child will think that she can treat me like my mom does. I also can not get myself to make her leave my house. She does not have anywhere else to go and she is my mother. What are some things I could do to better this situation?

Let's think here. Why can't she leave? If it is a medical condition, I guess I can understand, but otherwise... anyway, you need to sit her down and remind her that it is YOUR house that she is staying in, not hers. If she does not like your lifestyle she is free to leave, but your choices, whether she likes them or not, are your choices and while in your house she needs to respect them, even if she does not like them. Did you like all of the rules in her house when you were growing up? NO, but you had to live by them while you were there. Same rule applies, even though it is in reverse. Good luck

SWEET HEART
you are not your mothers keeper, although she has her issues
with alcohol you must remember the issues are hers alone
you are a grown woman with your own child, your mom has the option to seek help and the ability to get social service assistance
IF she can drink she can make a phone call to seek the help that is required for her sobriety , Stop being her enabler you need to get free from moms chaos if you want help get it

Its your home right?
Your mom is your mom but you are the head of the house so you should tell your mother to shut the Fcuk up about your adult life, if she dont like the way you live or who you are seeing, to bad. Tell her to find somewhere else to live & be dependant on if she keeps going.
