For most guys Valentines day is just one of those days...if he is not the rmoantic kind,he is probably trying to avoid it..and he will get you a card and some flowers or chocolates
If he has done anything romantic in the past,he probably has something special planned..romantic dinner,but he is playing it cool right now..guys are so much better at hiding their suprises than girls are..I am like " I can't wait..I got to tell him"
I would not beg him and say:" Hey what are you doing for Valentines Day..or "Valentinesday is comming up" because trust me, he knows..I mean hearts and Choclate boxes everywhere in stores..he cannot miss it..unless he lives under a rock..Just start acting a little mysterious,like you have something planned for his Valentines Day, and if he asks you what you are doing,...say "Nothing..it is a suprise...it is not Valentines yet"..
Then he will at least get his juices flowing on what to do for you if he hasn't already..I would not ask,b/c than it will be too forced..and not from the heart..

Well maybe he has a big surprise planned and doesn't want to tell you about it till it happens, or maybe hes the kind of guy who prefers to show you his love every single day and not just on Valentines day.

If it's important to you tell him or at the very least drop hints (hints a man can understand.. we are thick headed).

You should not be surprised if he has planned something - if not tell him to sling his hook - imagine what an old meanie he will be after one whole year!!!!
