The Hawks thought they fixed their problems by signing Speedy Claxton to start at point guard and with Pachulia at center. They were wrong.

Yeah it doesnt make sense. If they drafted chris paul or deron williams instead of marvin williams they might be a playoff team right now. Maybe Marvin williams will be an all star someday but they need to win now. Becuase they dont even get to keep this year's upcoming draft pick because of the joe johnson trade(unless its in the top 3, )

because they think that that will help the team. and plus, there really hasnt been a worthy pick at center in awhile, since yao and stoudemire. also, the point guard is sort of hard too. even tho, there were some like randy foye and brandon roy, but they didnt have the early pick to get them. but i do agree, they do need a center and a point guard. maybe greg oden, next year.

Because they're doing the "best player available" thing when they shouldn't. Sometimes you have to take chances to get better.

just bad mangement decisions on drafting and trades. they sholud hold on to joe johnson though and build around him.
