I had a friend who did that. When I asked him why he was wearing them at night he said, "People don't deserve to look in my eyes'!
He's nuts!

I wear mine a lot. I am near-sighted and have become increasingly sensitive to light. I get a tremendous headache and strained eyes if I do not wear them when I am outside and a lot of fluorescent light is harsh.

He might have very sensitive eyes? I do and could wear sunglasses all the time - but I don't because I think it looks stupid but my eyes kill me looking at anything bright.

maybe he's extremely photosensitive (sensitive to light). if i'm outside, sometimes even when it's cloudy , i wear sunglasses because i have sensitive eyes. most of the time i don't even use the lights inside the house

He may be sensitive to light. Or he may have eyes that are an odd color and sunglasses provide relief from people that would mock him over it.

He wants to keep people out and doesn't want them to see into his true self. Or he's a poseur and pretending to be some kind of cool.
