Style wise I would definately go with the wedge heels, but the flip flops are more comfortable. I would say if you have a date go with the heels, but if it's just you and some friends go with the flip flops, but I always ended up taking my shoes off to dance, so you could go either way, but if taking your shoes off bothers you, then I might still go with the flip flops whether you have a date for not. Besides if he's a great guy he'll understand. Another deciding factor may be if the flip flops are like old navy style or they have a little flair like ambercrombie or areopostal. If the are old navy you may be able to dress them up a little (my friends in high school would actually paint their flip flops with sparkle nail polish) and wear them with the dress, but if you are wearing a blazer, it may be dressing your outfit down too much by going with the flip flops, all in all I think the heels are the best choice, after all you can always take them off. PS. You could always wear the heels there and then carry the flip flops in your purse to change if you wanted to later. Sorry this is so long!

I would so go with the wedge heels, but it matters if it is a casual dance then just ear a nice pair of flip-flops. If it is more of a nice elegant, getting old perty, the wear the wedge heels.

I am wearing flip flops as soon as all the formal things are taken care of, I refuse to walk in heels all night with my feet hurting. I also allowed my bridesmaids to change into flip flops at the reception as long as they were white, so they match the dresses still. I see nothing wrong with it, unless you are used to wearing heels all the time why be uncomfortable on the day you are supposed to having the most fun

Heels! Flip flops are fine for the beach but not to a dance!

Heels. But honestly, why are you wearing a dress and a plaid blazer??? Wouldn't you rather wear a skirt and a cute top or just the dress? I guess I don't quite get the plaid blazer thing... Is it a prep school or something? It just sounds too much like a uniform.

And, yeah, "Blondie!", it "sounds cute" if you're going as a chaperone! Give me a break!

Heels, heels! God, there's nothing funnier than people dancing in flip flops!

I am always partial to heels-I always wear them. Heels would probably look better but you will be more comfrotable, especially dancing, in flip flops.
