Only a psychologist could diagnose. I think if you're smart enough to realize you've got these symptoms, you probably don't have Aspergers... I think you are just shy or antisocial (and perhaps obscessive compulsive). If you're unsure, talk to a therapist or psychologist.

It's possible. Asperger's is not always easy to diagnose, and some cases are missed. Remember asperger's is "high functioning" autism. People who have it are normal or above normal in intelligence, so it is not true that a person who has asperger's would not know it. Asperger's patients are fully aware of how they are and the fact that they are "different". they just don't know how to fit into a "normal" society.
Asperger's people normally are neat, ordered, and focus intently on things they enjoy. They frequently are very intelligent and when they want to learn about something they put all their efforts into it and learn everything there possibly is to know on the subject. Social problems are frequent, but they can be worked on.
My advice is to get to a therapist.
They could tell you for sure.

If you do, don't be disheartened...look at some of the other people who were thought to have suffered from it:

Albert Einstein
Michelangelo
Andy Warhol
Thomas Jefferson
Issac Newton
Bill Gates

You may be in quite an impressive group. Asperger's is a very highly functioning form of autism, and many of the people with this disorder are highly successful and intelligent. The only thing they lack is the affinity for social situations.

Take a look at this website. It's got a lot of useful points of reference.

Not sure. I had a friend with similar symptoms. It is very similar to autism. I have a link here for you to check symptoms and i believe it leads to other links about Asperger. I would not try to self diagnose this. I would seek a professional diagnosis. Good luck and beware of those of the opposite sex who try to take advantage of you.

I have an online friend who has this, but I think she was diagnosed with it when she was very young. I do think there's something wrong, though. Maybe you have ADHD? It's best to go to a psychologist and explain this to them.

Good luck.

Is this the latest invention of the pharmaceutical companies in their never ending quest to create a market for new drugs. by the symptoms you describe this is afflicting roughly 70% of all Americans. Maybe the problem is people with Antiassburger syndrome
