I sold a mystery gift card a while back and now i have a man that i sold it to claiming a dispute against me because it was not to the place that he wanted it too. It was a mystery $500 dollar card, and the place was a mystery no one knew where it was to and i had a picture of the card itself on my page, and now he is claiming that he wants his money back because i lied to him about what he was going to get, but i did not tell him what he was going to get because it was a mystery...do you think that i am going to win??

It is with paypal's it was a mystery and i had all the different logos to tons of stores and a picture of the actual gift card on my page, kinda like a guess which one you could potnetially win...and he is mad because he thought that he was going to get something else, even thought i said on my page that i was just putting up pictures to make the profile stick out, and i had ppls ask me about the other ones, and the picture of the gift card, he was the only one that did not ask questions, and i guess he did not realize that it was a mystery auction...even thought that was my main title! i just dont think that it would be right if he wins and he is threatening to come after me...

I cant seem any reason why you should not win......
He would have to prove that you had led him on, and as long as he has no proof of this ou ave no worries...........
Keep any emails that have exchanged between you
Good luck try and lets us know how you get on x

flow into paypal, elect the transaction and click on the link to dispute it. There at the instant are not any costs for a paypal dispute so some distance as i be conscious of, final time an merchandise did no longer arrive I recieved my money decrease back in complete. do no longer close the dispute till you have the article or the refund. sellers are in charge for paying for the article wisely to you, in the event that they despatched it trackable (say royal mail recorded signed for) and characteristic data of transport the will no longer lose the declare. yet seeing as you haven't any longer have been given the article some sellers recon if the customer would not take out coverage they are not in charge for lost products. They get a impolite awakening as to their lack of know-how whilst a customer documents a dispute.

I think you will win this dispute , as long as you CLEARLY stated in your auction( I'm assuming eBay) the it was a mystery card. Just make sure you give accurate and timely info to Pay pal during the resolution phase.

Unless you have tracking information or evidence, then usually Paypal put it in the buyers favour.
This happened to me recently - I sent an item to a buyer who happened to live in a crap end of the UK. He apparently didn't receive it and stole a x1.5 refund. Which Paypal carelessly allowed.
Unless you stated that the exact specifications in the text - it was the buyers fault for not noticing it or reading the page. Make sure Paypal notice this.

Honey you need to get in touch with the police, especially if he is calling you. It is considered as harrassment. Paypal will have a record of your descriptions somewhere and if you have advertised like you have said you have then you will have no problems at all. Good luck doll, and seriously, contact the police! x

is it in court or with paypall authorites. If you said Mystery and even showed a picture you can't be sued. It would be different if it were false advertising and you said it was for walmart instead of king soopers or less that what you said.Did you sell it on Ebay????????

As long as you answer any messages that you get from Paypal and don't ignore them, you should win. The item was exactly as you said it was so you have no problem.
It's only if Paypal ask you for comments and you don't reply, they automatically find in his favour.
