I have to go with Sidney Crosby. I know its still very early in his career but, the way he's played his first season and a half is unbelievable. Crosby has not even played 2 seasons and he has about 189 points, some players use half their career trying to reach that number. The most important part though is that he's is still only 19 years old. He is playing with players who are bigger and have more experience and Crosby still leads the league in points with 16 points over the 2nd place vetran Martin St. Louis. If Sidney Crosby keeps this up he will break Gretzky's records with not to much problem. Crosby will be the best athlete.

reason this is a hard question is that so many athletes dominate their OWN sports, like Woods with golf or Jordan with basketbal ect.... if it the one with the most affect on their own sport, either Jordan or Gretzy, thing is with lebron hes so young and has so much going for him, if he can win championships and get MVPs and stuff like that, it may be him...

in 100 years, there will be people talking about how their grandparents got to see tiger woods win his 30th major at the age of 40. by that time, his record will be 25% farther away from every other record in major pro sports than the next furthest. i used to say, hes not that good yet, he had a few good years. but since he sank that chip shot you see highlights of at the us open, there is noone even close to as good. he is so good, he made me change from hater to backer WHILE HE STILL PLAYS. its not like me to change my mind.
