well our loan is still in process and the sellers decided to forget about us cause I don't blame them its taking too long. can we just pick another house with the existing loan or start over.

No - your lender was lending on that house. However you now know exactly what you will qualify for and have all the BS out of the way. Find a house in your price range and the loan will go through faster as long as the house appraises for the price.

Unfortunately you'll need sto start over. Perhaps you can work a deal with your mortgage company, though, to waive some of their fees on the second place you choose.

If you had a purchase and sales agreement this would not of happened.
You should hire a realtor
