Im only 7 weeks pregnant. This is my 3rd child. Its been 10 years since my last pregnancy. Im already showing! All of my jeans are already too tight and alot of my shirts are tight around my belly and breasts. My bras dont fit and Ive switched from thongs to bikini panties already. I hate to buy maternity clothes already and have them be too small later on in my pregnancy. Any suggestions? Do they make maternity clothes now that will adjust with size? Oh and my hubbys clothes are way too big...Ive already tried lol..If you are a thinner woman, do you tend to show sooner?

I bought maternity clothes as soon as I couldn't wear my big regular clothes anymore. Buy empire waist shirts. ( they always look cute from small to big and they fit the whole way, too). You can also buy maternity jeans that have extremely stretchy panels or you can buy the ones that sit under the bell. I wore the same few pairs of good ones from about 13 weeks until the end. Maternity clothes have come a long way since you were pregnant last. I also wore alot of clothes that aren't prenancy clothes. Fitted T-s and other shirts are made longer now because of the "style" and they fit me all the way through, too. Have a happy pregnancy and a healthy baby!!!

I didn't start showing until I was 7 months and then had my daughter at 8 months. I wouldn't say I'm thin, but I'm 6' tall and 140lbs. I don't know if my height had anything to do with it.

Maternity clothes tend to be expensive, so instead of purchasing a maternity shirt, just shop in the plus-size section of a store. The only maternity purchase I made was for a pair of capris. The only place I was big at was in my stomach, so if I had purchased plus-size pants they would have just fallen off. Ok, fine, I also bought this one maternity shirt, but that was only because it was absolutely gorgeous! lol

Aside from the pants though, I just bought the plus-size shirts. Of course, not all shirts are made the same, so just do a quick try-on and see how it fits!

Congrats and I hope you have an easy pregnancy.

My mom bought me some maternity pants from Motherhood Maternity when I was 9 weeks. They had the stretchy panel as well as a draw string. I am 24 weeks now and still wearing the same pants...just not as tight with the drawstring. I personally have just been buying a few things here and there, and things that will stretch with me. Some of my maternity shirts don't fit anymore, but Ive found the softer the fabric..like a soft sort of stretchy cotton, the further it goes. I also buy the cute longer shirts, because as my belly gets bigger, the shirt doesn't start to ride up really high. Ive found a lot of good pieces, that are inexpensive at Motherhood. As for the bra... Ive had to buy a sleep bra, and 3 regular bras since 9 weeks. I hate it, but I need the proper support, and just buy a new one when I need it.

It doesn't matter if you are thin or chubby - the more pregnancies you have the earlier you show. I showed real early with my third and had to start telling people why I was gaining weight.
I wore t-shirts and sweat type pants - the nicer ones, some are Capri and some are not, but they come in a lot of colors and styles, and the best part, they are elastic. I wore those for awhile until I needed full blown maternity clothes.
Remember the seasons will change and so will your belly, so unless you can afford the maternity clothes for each season, that is my suggestion.
Good luck!

Oh thank heavens!!!!!! I'm not the only mother pregnant with her third child that started showing earlier than her other pregnancies. With my first two, I didn't have to get maternity clothes until I was about 7 months but I feel like with this pregnancy, I need them now and I'm only 15 weeks. I bought a few pairs of maternity jeans called below the waist and no waist.. and I wear regular shirts. Its working for me now.
(I was skinny before all my pregnancies but with this one - I just gained the weight faster and showed earlier)

I bought these wonderful things called Bella Bands. You can get them on Ebay. What it is is a maternity band that you put over your pants. You wear your pants unbuttoned and unzipped and this covers it all up and keeps your pants up along with giving your belly some support. It looks like you are wearing a t-shirt under your shirt when you aren't showing much. Then when you are showing, they look like maternity pants. I am 8 months along and can still wear my regular pants because of these. I do have maternity pants too, but these are great. As far as shirts, I don't know...maybe just buy some that have some stretch to them?

I started wearing maternity clothes around 5 1/2 months with my first, but already in my fourth month with my second.
It must be subsequent babies show sooner?

They do make adjustable clothes in the higher end shops.

I started wearing maternity pants in my 5th month, but because my chest was already large I started wearing maternity shirts at about 12 weeks.

It doesn't matter if you are thinner or bigger, the more babies you have the sooner you start showing. If you clothes are too tight then wear maternity clothes.

I was chubby to begin with and did not show until 6 months - I bought larger clothes - no maternity clothes at all!
