To ask if she should apologize to the family may be the wrong question. To ask that she apologize for being a big loudmouthed jerk might be in order.
I wish we could go back in time and have a big undo. Katie isn't doing well on CBS News. Mederith isn't doing too well on Today and certainly Rosie should be returned to her "mothering" occupation prior to this mess. She has made herself the only "view" that can be heard because of her big loud mouth. Controversies can only sustain ratings so long before viewers get wise.

I don't think Rosie should have to apologize to Anna Nicoles family but I am sure that she is sorry for the timing, obviously she did not know AN was going to die, and what she said about her was not off base in any way, and I also don't think she was saying anything about her to be funny. The audience laughed but she did not and the laughing stopped. Anna has had a tragic life, she was dysfunctional. If anyone should say their sorry it's the people who were around her and let her become the woman that she turned into. Her so called friends watched her turn to drugs to keep her from dealing with life. Did anyone say NO! She needed guidence and help. When her son died you could see the downslide. Her interviews were on tv all the time and she was hardly ever coherrent. I hope she is in a better place and I hope that the little girl can find peace and happiness in her life. HKS should go to jail for just allowing Anna to make those appearances and not putting her in rehab and counseling.

No.
There is no reason for Rosie to apologize for what she said on The View regarding Smith. At the time, Anna was still alive and making appearances that conveyed the look of someone impaired by some form of intoxicant. Comedians offend people, it's in the job description. No matter what the joke or jab, someone will be put off by the comment.
Its dishonest when people behave or regard someone that has died better than those same people treated the deceased while still living. Its just revisionist history. Anna Nicole took the spot light and all that came with it, good and bad. Being targeted by comedians is just part of the package.
I do think Rosie and others might consider a moratorium on Smith jokes for a bit and give some respect to Anna's loved ones.
Again, give respect and condolences, but there is no need for an apology.

NO, she shouldn't apologize! Are you kiddin? The comment was made hours before Anna Nicole was found. OMG! I can't believe how much people are hatin' on Rosie. She's a comedian for Christ sake! She must be doing something right because The View's ratings are off the chart since she arrived.

No. She said she was tired of hearing about the paternity test on the news. I'm sure Anna Nicole herself was tired of it being national news too. Everyone knew that Anna Nicole had probs. She knew herself. Rosie didn't say anything wrong. Numerous media outlets have already been saying what Rosie said. Anna Nicole's had terrible tragedies and has been acting out of it when on camera. May she rest in peace. God bless her and her family, esp. her baby.

She definetly should not apologize. All she said basically was leave the poor girl alone she has enough problems. I agreed with her completly. Poor Anna Nicole. I think we look for people to tear apart like Anna Nicole and now Rosie.

As with the last post, I stopped watching the view when Rosie started.... I did however watch one episode about 2-3 weeks ago after the trump thing started, and realized why I stopped watching it... She can't keep her mouth shut....... As i can't remember the one girls name, I think it was Elizabeth, you know, the blond, anyways... She was trying to make a comment about the war in Iraq... Because, of course, Rosie started talking about the war... Anyways, every time she would try to say something, Rosie's mouth would get louder and louder..... So of course, she never got to try to prove her point... I thought this show is about every ones views.... Not just Rosie's....And.. Another thing.. I don't know about you guys, But I love to watch Barbra interview the celebrities... She does it the best and knows what to ask... Anyways on that same episode, Rosie did all the talking...... Why don't we just call the show Rosie's View on Life

It isn't as if Rosie knew Anna Nicole was dead. Why should people be hypocritical and say how nice and wonderful the person is just because they die? If you don't think they are a nice person when they are alive, then you most likely don't think they are nice because they are dead.
