Really, what would the harm be if police officers were allowed to shoot gang members on site?

What if some of these kids are just hanging out and aren't in a gang. many kids that live in urban areas are mistaken for gang members....Even still, I don't believe they should be shot, but arrested on sight, clean up the ghettos so the kids can have somewhere safe to play and old ladies won't be afraid to walk down their streets. But then the prisions would be overrun... Kill all of the pedophiles and murderers locked up to make room....

Well for one, being in a gang is not against the law. What reason would officers have to shoot random people who look as if they are in a gang? Plus, Officers can shoot if they "gang members" wield a weapon.

actual. see you later as hes not putting others lives in direct chance. yet when it should be alot safer to objective to end this chase than to enable it end the way this suspect has in ideas, they could do so. Then there is also the prospect that they are advised to call of the chase so this suspect slows down and it minimizes the chance to possibility free people. yet they dont regularly call it off except there's a helicopter close by, following this suspect.

First of all its illegal, that's what the court systems are for and secondly this would only widen the scope of murder by officers.....

Let run a scenario, say someone dislikes me or my son or my brother and goes out of there way to accuse us a gang members, so a officer would just begin shooting

Scenario #2 lets say someone accuses my brother of being a active so called gang member, and I'm standing next to him....well you get the picture....

Have you ever seen the LAPD here in areas with minorities.....I'm more afraid of the police here than the gangs....I have many times walked past a officer sitting in his car and he had a glock on his lap, mean mugging me......

I would rather see the Govs. use the national guard to clear inner city areas witht he assistance of the police forces Not necessarily kill them but defend if fired upon... but round them allup and take them to those boot camp styled detention centers
