You can put your whole heart into memory but that doesn't mean anything. Memory acts on it's own. You can do what you can to discipline this but it seems in the broad spectrum of it all, memory has a way of acting on it's own in the end.

As far as compromise is concerned. Why give "half" of yourself to anything? Shouldn't it be all or nothing? If you are giving half why bother at all? If you care it should be all or nothing.

In saying this, the answer would be to give a whole heart to memory, simply because you are giving your ALL to this.
