hi, this is one of the greatest dilemmas of my life!met this guy, 2 yrs ago, didnt fancy him initially, but gradually he grew on me, but somehow, he lost interest :O( lost touch for a long time, upon questioning, he said, he'd gotten closer to a friend. i have tried very hard, met many people but, cant get him out of my thoughts..do i have any hope. i know he did fancy me..dont know what went wrong! ihave no contact with him for a long time, his bday is due soon, should i just write to wish him? i know i will look silly..is it worth it? pls help!

Could it be that you are just into him cos you could not have him.. sort of like a conquest... If not here is a funny story.. I was sort of like in the same situation only difference is that 5 years went by.. 3 weeks back i sent a short note saying hello and i got a big hello back.. 3 hour conversation and now we talk on a regular basis.. i know i still want him but just do not know how to tell him cos i fear rejection.. i would say e-mail the guy. send him a short note saying "i did not forget.. happy B.day" also ask him to let you know how he has been.. ( ice breaker )

Try to send him an email or a greeting birthday card that if he'd like to go out for a drink or a dinner together, or to some pubs to celerbrate his birthday. My suggestion is, at least try it you won't lose anything if the worst is rejection, but you both can still be friends afterwards; Moreover, you will not regret in your later life for not giving it a try! i think why not give another try.. you'll not look silly.. if you're so interested in him it's worth giving it several trials not only one.. maybe he needs few trials coz he was hurt and wants to make sure you're serious this time!
bottom line is: if want something badly, you have to do efforts to get it just for the sake of not feeling regret that you did not try hard enough. good luck!

Drop him a birthday card. Say something like "I'd like to buy you dinner or a drink for your birthday. If you're interested, call me". If you hear from him, good. If not, at least you tried.

hi lost, well whats the harm in sending him a birthday card, he might respond but i doubt it. sometimes we are a bit slow on what we know and oppurtunities are gone. but there is no harm in trying, tell him if he want,s you could go out for a meal for his birthday if he decline,s then you know it is gone. nothing lost nothing gained nothing ventured good luck
