The country song is by Jack Ingram. Hinder got it on the airways first, as far as i know.
I think they do that because the song writer lets other singers buy the song, and they can sing it too. It's for the benefit of the song writer. He gets a lot of air play, from different song genres.
I've heard it done before in some Spanish songs, and it makes the first artist very upset.
They should at least give it some time before they re-distribute the song.

I don't know who had it first, all I know is that the song is just creepy. You have to be a jerk to be cheating. I don't condone cheating so I don't like the song it makes me sick. But I do like Jack Ingrams song "Love You" It's hilarious. Anyway, it happens all the time with artists. Especially with country and pop. Leanne Rimes and Trisha Yearwood with "How Do I Live" and "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith and some country guy. And I know there's way more I just can't think of them at the moment. Another country song and I think Brian McKnight or someone that sings like him. It was in the mid 90's. Oh and Butterfly Kisses also. If you don't listen to country, no wonder you've never heard of it being done before. It's not unusual.

Hinder had it first. I think their version is 10x better, actually, but thats jus me.
Although its rare for a cover song to be done while the original is still on the Top 40, with the initial artists permission, it is possible. Odd, tho.

Jack Ingram does a country version of it. I believe they done this to target both country and pop listeners. But I hear both versions because I listen to both types of music. I like both versions.
