Heh, heh. Considering American views of liberty, I do not think it is possible to be a dictator AND benevolent at the same time. What particularly sucks about the messiness of things right now, however, is that benevolent or not, Democrat or Republican, man or woman... it is going to be very difficult for the next leader to clean up the Iraq mess. I feel sorry for whomever gets elected next. They'll likely be a one-termer, regardless of who they are, because they will be coming into a near impossible situation to work out. We'll see, though. A lot can change in a couple of years.

Sorry, but our current president who has abandoned the traditional conservative support of having a small government has already increased his powers enough to almost be considered a dictator. The job is already taken.
