Only good thing Hitler did was die.

He also showed us what can happen when rampant, mindless patriotism runs a muck. (are you listening.....Bush backers...?)

Apparantly a lot of people during the time...
Here is a good example:

On January 2, 1939, Time Magazine published its annual Man of the Year issue. For the year 1938, Time had chosen Adolf Hitler as the man who "for better or worse" (as Time founder Henry Luce expressed it) had most influenced events of the preceding year.

The Man of the Year cover had been a Time tradition since 1927 when Charles Lindbergh became the first Man of the Year. Ironically, Lindbergh was an admirer of Hitler and Nazi Germany; he became active in the America First organization which opposed America entering World War II in the fight against Adolf Hitler.

(p.s. I don't know exactly what all happened back then - but from what I am taught - he showed us a horrible example of imperial corruption and the gross misuse of a nation's military.)

Hitlers desire for the extermination of jews, gypsies, gays, and other "undesirables" will always be what he will be remembered for. Ironically what he did for the German people was incredible. Restored national pride, built the autobahn, and could have controlled ALL of Europe for years to come had he decided not to invade the USSR. During the height of it's power, I bet you'd be hard pressed to find a German citizen who had any problems with the way things were under Hitler compared to how things were shortly after World War I when the world made Germany pay for all the damage it caused.

Are you insane? Putting to death over six million innocent people who had committed no offense other than to exist as a certain race or religion? Of course what he did was wrong! We can only hope there was a nice spot waiting for him in the deepest part of Hell...

By the way, nice snare about greed. It isn't hard to tell how you think. If we (meaning whoever you want to apply this label to) weren't greedy (also defined as you please), we (see note above) wouldn't be racist (this is getting old). Does anyone really know anymore what racism is? Racism is a willful deprivation of rights to a certain group based on their nationality. It typically does not entail offense, or exclusion based on individual merit. Please determine, in the future, what your words mean before you use them.

I think that most reasonable and unbiased liberals and conservatives can agree that he was most certainly an evil dictator and tyrant that is responsible for World War 2 and the deaths of millions at his SS camps. I think that history clearly proves this fact without a doubt.

If you think he was a psycho, why are you asking this question? You are only going to get angry racist people saying that Hitler was good.

I'M NOT ONE OF THEM

many things in this world you can look back on and find some good... if the revolutionaries had not broken away from England (they thought it was bad at the time) the US wouldn't have grown.. had the US not slaughtered countless Native Americans.. it might not have been a connected and strong enough nation to aid in WW II ... the world is filled with such scenarios... hypothetical situations that you can say "What if...?" and raise a good solid thought... Hitler would not be one such situation... to this day you would be hard pressed to find any good at all from looking back on that one... maybe in 100 years or so...

Just like Hitler, Pat Robertson and other radio and television evangelists began speaking about a new political religion that would direct its efforts toward taking control of all institutions, including mainstream denominations and the government. Its stated goal was to use the United States to create a global Christian empire. This call for fundamentalists and evangelicals to take political power was a radical and ominous mutation of traditional Christianity. It was hard, at the time, to take such fantastic rhetoric seriously, especially given the buffoonish quality of those who expounded it. But Adams warned us against the blindness caused by intellectual snobbery. The Nazis, he said, were not going to return with swastikas and brown shirts. Their ideological inheritors had found a mask for fascism in the pages of the Bible.

I think Hitler did one good thing. He provided us all with a very good example of the catastrophic harm that fascism can do to humanity.
