I don't use use spray furniture polish near the pc, it contains silicon. It forms a layer of silicon over stuff and that will include your motherboard circuits!
The stuff in the pc wet wipes is isopropyl alcohol, you can buy a bottle from the chemist for about a pound. You can use it to moisten wipes that have dried out, or use it on a j cloth or cotton buds. You can use it all over the plastic, and on a CRT screen but not a TFT screen.
You can hoover any crumbs out of the keyboard and wipe all the keys, and wipe over the mouse. Its also best to wash your hands before you start typing.

How often does it get dirty?
With the computer off, use a slightly damp cloth on the plastic case. Avoid getting any moisture into the PC itself.

Enjoy.
