I do go out and talk to people.
They are okay with me for a day or two and they again pretend that i am non-existant.

Important Note:
Appear confident even if you are wilting inside,
BE Approachable confident, not unapproachable and cocky.
Appear like you're alright alone, still smile.
If you're good at any sports, go join a team.
Or community service activities.
Or join a camp.
Get good grades, it will get you some attention. but dont try too hard too.
Don't refuse when people ask you if you want to join them for lunch and small stuff. (unless its illegal or activities of that sort)
Hold true to your own style, dress well. dont over do it.
Never never try too hard.
When you're warming up to some people over time already, casually invite them out for a round of basketball, movie, activity or lunch.
If you dont have any interest, go develop one.
Practice speaking more, public speaking, etc. be eloquent.
Take your time, things will get better if you remember the advices above.
anything, feel free to contact me at mintaeo@yahoo.com.sg

Are you a new student? Then things are going to take time. Try joining a group at school. Drama, sports, etc. Whatever your interest. Have you tried talking to people that are in your classes, or going down the hall? Or what about the person next to your locker? The best thing would be to join something at school and get involved. You will meet people with the same interest as you and talking will not be a problem.

That's the worst experience any stranger can have in a new place.Americans will ignore you for some time, but will soon cling to you. With time, you will make friends.I went thru the same situation last semester, but i'm now over it.I don't have friends that i visit but there are few people i talk to in class. Most people will talk to you only when they want your help.Do your best in class and you will soon win them all over.

You can't expect people to just come up and talk to you...it works both ways hun. You gotta get out there and start talking to people. Find someone that looks like they would be interesting to talk to and tell them you are new to the area..what is there to do? Where to most kids hang out..stuff like that.
Be social and you will soon have friends!

honey people are often rude to others in high school. my advice is don't sweat it. after high school it doesn't matter wheather you were the prom queen or king or the most popular kid in school. take it from me when you graduate and actually begin life you will be much happier than the ones who pick on you. especially after you graduate college and start your own business. oops that's my story.
good luck!!

You need to talk to them. If you talk to a boy and say I'm new and I need help. Maybe they will ask you a lot of things like where your from.
