People call Islam a religion of peace, and act like we should tolerate it. But here are some verses I found in an online Koran that made me think otherwise:

"[2.191] And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.
[2.192] But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."

Sound's a little "intollerent" to me.

"[2.194] The Sacred month for the sacred month and all sacred things are (under the law of) retaliation; whoever then acts aggressively against you, inflict injury on him according to the injury he has inflicted on you and be careful (of your duty) to Allah and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil)."

God no, I don't even consider it a religion, as much as it is a political ideology. See the link below, goes through verse by verse, very chilling.

Of course, there just misunderstood

Thats the kind of cr@p they are trying to feed us about this bollox religion. Now in my opinion all religion is wrong but I can just about cope with a Christian or a Jew but a Muslim, not a chance. They make me sick and I dont care what anyone says, find me a muslim who denounces terrorism, and i mean denounces it. A protest, a petition, a news report anything..................what you couldnt. Now theres a supprise.

Islamic terrorists even make Christian terrorists seem civilised and that takes a lot in itself.

if islam was the real religion and the one we should follow i would rather take my chances with satan. Be less torture

Whether or not Islam is a religion of peace is how they interpret it. Look at Iraq, the civil war (not a liberation war), Palestine, Pakistan vs India, Iran vs Iraq. If a person if for peace, he fights for peace.

As for the passages in the bible, they do not encourage people to kill others. Big difference.

Verses out of a book don't mean a thing to me.
The fact that virtually every terrorist attack in recent years is being committed by Muslims says it all as far as I'm concerned..

Without reading the Koran, just observing Muslim behavior around the world, I agree with you. To me, deeds are far more important than words.

The Bible is full of words of slaughter as well: http://www.nobeliefs.com/DarkBible/darkbible3.htm#david-slaughters-them

People lived in violent times when these books were written. I encourage both Christians and Muslims to look past the literal translations and follow the words of peace that can be found in both the Bible and the Koran.

ISLAM IS THE MOST INTOLERANT OF THE RELIGIONS.
THEY DON'T TOLERATE ANYTHING. THEY KILL INDISCRIMINATELY. ANY RELIGION THAT FORCES WOMEN TO BE SUBSERVIENT AND STONES PEOPLE TO DEATH OR BEHEADS PEOPLE FOR INDISCRETIONS IS NOT A TOLERANT RELIGION. WHERE ARE THE VOICES OF PEACE? WHERE ARE THE PEACEFUL IMAMS TO SPEAK UP ABOUT ALL THE VIOLENCE? WHY AREN'T ANY MUSLIMS PROTESTING SUICIDE BOMBERS OR THE TREATMENT OF PEOPLE IN GENERAL BY THE PEACEFUL RELIGION. ISLAM IS A MURDEROUS RELIGION THAT CANNOT BE TOLERATED. WHY SHOULD WE TOLERATE THOSE THAT DO NOT TOLERATE.

You have to put those verses into perspective. i could do the same thing with the bible. Don't try to vilify an entire religion based on a small bit of information. If you read the Christian bible, God is definitely intolerant.
