What do we need to do (that we are not already doing) to prevent future terrorist attacks?

A simple question, but one with profound consequences.

Enforce our immigration laws. Demand proof of legal status of all employees and students. Recognize the true threats to our country and our soverignty. Establish a database of immigrants and fingerprint or rice chip them all. Remember it was 19 illegal aliens who attacked our country on 9/11/01 and they had to have help. Remember that those illegal aliens posed as model citizens and that their cohorts are probably doing the same. That means that there are still a bunch of terrorists out there who are flying under the radar. We can't have illegal aliens working on our bases, in our banks, in our fields, on our roads, checking our cargos or or baggage, building our buildings, working as doctors, nurses, police or even in our armed forces, or any other profession because they could disable the country. With identity theft being the fastest growing crime, we have to realize how identities are used and who needs them. Identities grant access. Get access to our medicine, our computers, our food supplies, or anything else and you have the ultimate weapons to defeat any nation. So, I guess the next word would be to understand and recognize the true threats and act to eliminate them. All people who work in the food industry should have background checks, health screenings and should be certified disease free. All people who work in our banks should have background checks and checks and balances at all levels should be instituted and used. No one works without proper credentials. And those who don't work and have no visible means of support and who are not citizens should be deported. That's just the start.

We need local police to help enforce immigration laws. We need to tax all money leaving the country -- preferably 50%. We need to ensure that English is spoken everywhere and that those who refuse to speak English are considered subversives. We need to make all our teachers, doctors, nurses, landlords, employers mandated reporters of people who have no papers and can't prove legal status in the USA. That will do wonders for protecting our country from terrorist attacks because it won't give terrorists any place to hide and will limit their ability to communicate by drawing attention to conversations that are in any other language than English.

Use reasonable security procedures that are as non-invasive as possible.
Stop meddling in other country's business. Be there friend but set limits on the ability to even mention items within a nation's sovereignty.

Make it extremely expensive when we are attacked in any way. The war in Iraq is small potatoes and is being handled with kid gloves. If somebody attacks me I keep kicking them until they cannot get back up but have never started a fight. That should be our basic policy with all nations. Offer the hand of friendship to all and be a remorseless enemy when attacked..

Investigate and try and convict those truly responsible for the attacks on 911. George W. Bush, his father,his brother Marvin, Silverstien, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condeleeza Rice, Collen Powell, and any other scumbag that had any knowledge that they pulled off this Reichstag style ruse.

First of all everybody needs to recognize the enemy and get their heads out of the sand. Some do not realize that this problem has been going on for several decades now but many people believe it is a recent development.
