My boyfriend and I are going to Disney for a week in March. What do you recommend we do? What parks to visit, things to do at night, shows to watch, etc?

My boyfriend and I love going to Walt Disney World! We've been the past two summers and we're going again in July for 11 days. There's a lot of fun things for couples to do at Walt Disney World. These are some of the things my boyfriend and I enjoy doing...

1. Spa treatments (massages) at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's very relaxing and romantic. You can get them done together in the Couple's Room - a perfect way to either begin or end your vacation.

2. Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba at the West Side of Downtown Disney. My boyfriend and I have seen it the past two summers and are planning to see it again this summer. It's incredible and just gets better everytime! And you can't see the show anywhere else in the world!

3. A romantic fireworks cruise. Walt Disney World offers fireworks cruises for couples and families aboard pontoon boats. There's the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks cruise for EPCOT and the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks cruise for the Magic Kingdom. My boyfriend and I did the IllumiNations cruise this past summer. It was so wonderful! We cruised Crescent Lake near Disney's Boardwalk, then cruised over to the Disney - MGM Studios, and finally to the World Showcase Lagoon at EPCOT. We'd seen the show the night before, but it wasn't as great. There were obejcts blocking our view and crowds of people all around us, obviously. On the cruise we were all alone on the boat with a perfect view out onto the Lagoon. We're taking this fireworks cruise again this summer, too.

4. Spend a day at Downtown Disney. There's all sorts of fun stuff to do. My boyfriend and I always start off early in the afternoon just checking out all the different shops. Then we have lunch at Bongos Cuban Cafe - it's a gorgeous restaurant and they serve the best Cuban sandwiches and flan! After lunch we usually head over to the AMC 24-Theatre Complex to see a movie. I know, you can go to the movies at home, but it's such a nice theater and the seats are so comfortable. Plus, it's nice to enter a cool, dark place for a while after walking around in the hot sun all afternoon. Then later in the evening we go see Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba. Afterwards you could go to Pleasure Island for a couple hours.

5. Take a tour. Disney's Animal Kingdom Park has a tour called "Backstage Safari." You get to go behind-the-scenes and learn about all the exotic animals they have. You usually get to interact with an animal, often the white rhinos. Then you get to embark on your own personal Kilimanjaro Safaris ride. At the Magic Kingdom they offer a really grea behind-the-scenes tour. You get to tour parts of Cinderella Castle and the somewhat secretive Utilidoors (the level for Cast Members underneath the Magic Kingdom). At EPCOT they have the "Dolphins in Depth" tour. You get to stand in a pool with a couple dolphins and learn about them, feed them, give them signals to do tricks, etc. There's also the "Seas Aqua Tour" which is amazing! You get to swim in the aquarium tank with SCUBA gear on. You swim with the sting rays, sea turtles, and other tropical fish, and then the sharks below. It's so much fun! My boyfriend and I did it this past summer and had the time of our lives! It was all we could talk about our entire trip! We can't wait to do it again this summer.

If you're going for a week I suggest spending one day at each of the four theme parks (Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, Disney - MGM Studios, EPCOT, and the Magic Kingdom), a day at each of the two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), and one day at Downtown Disney. There's a lot to do at Walt Disney World, so just try and do as much as you can in the amount of time you'll be there.

There's a lot of excellent shows that you can't miss while you're there. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the fireworks show at EPCOT is amazing! Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom is just as amazing if not more! And the best part is everything is set to classic Disney music. It's really magical. And at the Disney - MGM Studios is this incredible stage show that takes place each evening, Fantasmic! Sorcerer Mickey battles all the classic Disney Villains, and there's fireworks, pyrotechnics, and water fountains, and clips from classic Disney movies are projected onto a really big water fountain (basically just a wall of water). It's an awesome show. And if you can afford it, definitely go see Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney. It's mindblowing.

Also, be sure to dine out at some of Walt Disney World's nicer restaurants. The California Grill, Narcoossee's, Le Cellier Steakhouse, the Coral Reef Restaurant, and the Yachtsman Steakhouse are some of our favorites.

Hope I could help! Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Well, lots of the night shows can be romantic, including Wishes (a fireworks extravaganza at the Magic Kingdom), Fantasmic (at MGM- kind of a light/water show) and Iluminations at Epcot. I also highly recommend that you visit Downtown Disney, as it has a lot of shops and restaurants that can be atmospheric. You can also visit Pleasure Island which is adult-oriented and has quite a few differently-themed nightspots.

Plus, you guys will love the parks. Have you ever been? (If it wasn't recently, it will be a whole new experience for you) Magic Kingdom houses a lot of the older, traditional rides. However, they are classics and must-sees. They include Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. They are fantastic.

At MGM, you'll find the Great Movie Ride, the Tower of Terror (you have to do it!) and Aerosmith's Rock n' Rollercoaster (do this too!). These rides are also themed wonderfully, so make sure to pay attention while in the queue.

Animal Kingdom, is hit-or-miss. Some people love it, some hate it. However, you definitely should give it a chance since it houses the newest thrill ride at the parks- Expedition Everest. This rollercoaster takes you on a high-speed trail up the mountain to meet the Yeti!

And don't forget Epcot! It also has it's share of great rides like Mission Space, Test Track and Soarin', but I think the real draw is the World Showcase. It has pavilions from lots of different countries and even better, fantastic places to eat!. This is where you want to go for a nice dinner out. There are so many things to choose from.

Just be sure to do your research beforehand. Disney World is not a place to just show up to. Of course you can start with disney.com, but I also recommend intercot.com, a website with lots of information from Disney fanatics. A few hours spent trawling the boards is time well-spent!

I hope all of this helped you!

I think one of the nicest things for a couple to do is Downtown Disney. You could spend the whole day there. There is a ton of shopping, right by the water, you can look over and see Saratoga Springs. There is also Disney Quest, it is fun, but I'm not sure if you are in to that type of thing.

I would recommend having dinner at a nice restaurant, such as Wolfgang's and then going to see Cirque. It is an amazing show, I highly recommend it and it is well worth the money. It makes for a very nice evening.

Pleasure island is also fun for adults, a lot of different things to choose from.

I also recommend the Boardwalk. They have a few little stores, and some nice restaurants. They also have entertainment sometimes as well. Again, you are right on the water and it is very beautiful at night.

All the parks are great. For adults EPCOT is probably one of the best parks. There is also some really great restaurants, Le Cellier in Canada is fantastic. World Showcase is great and you can sample food from around the world. All the rides are great.

All the parades are fun, but you do need to get lined up pretty early to get a good seat. And be prepared, people will try to push and shove their way through that come at the last minute to watch. My sister once had a person constantly hit her with their elctric scooter until she let them up in front of her, at which point they allowed their entire family to go in front of her. But, Disney is pretty good at keeping the crowd under control, until the parade starts when they have to step off to the side.

The fireworks are also amazing. Personally, my favorite is Wishes, it is really a nice show. There are also meal packages you can do for the fireworks so that you can get preferred seating, which is limited and gives you a nice viewing area.

There is a ton of other things to do. You can rent a boat and watch the fireworks privately, with only you and the captain, there is a horse and carriage ride at Port Orleans, there are really nice/fancy, places to eat, such as Victoria and Alberts, spa treatments, etc. There is a ton to do, I think you will find plenty.

Have a great time.

Mist, There's a lot to do as a couple at Disney World. Without kids you can enjoy a lot more of the shows (as opposed to rides), go to nice restaurants, visit/shop at the resorts, etc. There are numerous find restaurants, but the top of the line is Victoria and Albert's. They don't allow kids under 12 and you must dress up. I think men have to wear coat and tie. However, the reviews I've read about it are unbelievable. They even customize the menu with your name. Another favorite of ours is California Grill on the top of the Contemporary. The view of the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom is outstanding, but even that can't compare to the quality of the food. It's the best restaurant I've eaten at in Disney. There's also restaurants like Jiko and Artisan's Point that are more geared toward adults. Also, probably the most popular restaurant at Disney right now is Le' Celier in Epcot. You would really need to go through the entire list of restaurants and figure out which ones appeal to you most, but those are some of the best. A word of advice, though, these restaurants book up early. How early? You can book 180 days in advance and some of these can fill up the first day it's available. Beyond eating there's lot of shopping to do. All of the deluxe restorts have interesting shops. The Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Wilderness Lodge even have tours you can take. Speaking of tours, there are a number of behind the scenes tours that are available such as the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour. Another favorite is the Segway tour at Epcot. If you book the earliest tour you can actually tour before everybody else gets into the park. Hope that gives you some ideas!

You have gotten a lot of feedback already, so what I tell you will more than likely be repeating something. However, you are asking about my favorite subject, so I have to answer!!

I went to Disney on my honeymoon (14years ago) and my wife and I loved it!! During the day we took in all that the parks had to offer, with the rides and the shows. We didn't have to worry about kids, so we were able to kind of do what we wanted. At night we hit Downtown Disney. 14 years later, there is even MORE to do in Downtown Disney. There is Pleasure Island, House of Blues, and tons of other restaurants and shops. Depending on how long you are staying, I would hit the rides and attractions during the day.
All of the parks, the Magic Kingdom included, have things that the adults love to do. My personal favorites are the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. Also, don't miss Space Mtn. and Thunder Mtn. railroad. When you go to Epcot don't miss Test Track, Innoventions, and try to eat in the countries. They have authentic cuisine in each country, Mexico and Japan are my fav's. In MGM, make sure to hit the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, the Aerosmith Rock 'N' Roller coaster, and Tower of Terror.

At night, make sure to catch the Spectromagic parade and the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, and the night show at Epcot, and the Fantasmic show at MGM. All of them are fantastic. There is something about standing on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, looking at Cinderella's castle and seeing the fireworks while standing there with your sweetheart that just gives me chills. (Now I REALLY can't wait to go in April!!)

Hope this helps. All of the people who responded know their stuff when it comes to Disney, so make sure to read what they wrote. Also, I always recommend to people two sources. First, go to www.disneyworld.com and investigate the attractions you want to visit. You can pick the kind of experience you are looking for (romantic, family, big kids, etc.) and choose some attractions that suit you. Second, pick up the Birnbaum's guide to WDW. There are tons of books out there, but that one seems to work the best. Just reading the book will get your Disney excitement going.

I hope you have a great trip!!

Lots of great answers already, but I will add my opinions, too.

I would definitely recommend one of the "backstage tours"- and there are plenty! One that is a lot of fun is the Segway tour in EPCOT. You spend one hour learning to ride a Segway (2-wheeled personal transport you may have seen some cast members riding around) The second hour of the tour you get to ride your Segway "around the world". You go through the World Showcase before it is open to the public and stop in some of the pavilions for your tour guide to offer some interesting facts about it. We did this in September and had an awesome time!

Also in Epcot, stop and enjoy some wine tasting (provided you are of legal age) in Germany, France and Italy!

All of the parks are great for any ages. (although I don't do the water parks so I have no opinion regarding those).

Downtown Disney has a lot to offer- shopping, dining, clubs- so it is almost impossible to NOT find something there to enjoy.
There is also Disney Quest and Cirque de Soleil here.

Just take your time and enjoy it all!

If you will be visiting in early March, you won't have to fight heavy crowds. But if you'll be visiting in late March, you will. That is when the early spring breakers come to visit. So keep that in mind. Since you are staying for a week, I recommend you purchase 4 base tickets and spend 1 day at each park. Or you can spend more, depending on if you want venture outside Disney or not.
If you are interested in seeing other things in Central Florida, then just plan on 4 days at the Disney parks. I typically only recommend the park hopper option for folks who have less than 4 days to play. But if you like to have the flexibility of jumping from park to park in a single day, then opt for the park hopper option. Then spend your remaining days at Cocoa Beach, a Disney water park, take an airboat ride to see gators and wildlife, or check out Orlando's excellent shopping!
If you'd like to stay on Disney property the entire time, don't worry - you'll have plenty to see and do. Visit the resorts! They are beautiful and have better food than you'll find in the parks.

Book seats for Cirque De Sol.'s show - La Nuba at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. The show is amazing! Also check out Pleasure Island one night. The Comedy Club is my favorite - you'll laugh hysterically as Cast Members do their best improv!

My all time favorite Disney night show is Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at EPCOT. So definitely check that out.

If you can afford it, Victoria & Albert's Restaurant at the Grand Floridian Resort near Magic Kingdom, is the MOST amazing restaurant indulgence.
My husband and I went for our honeymoon and we still talk about it 9 years later.

You are taken care of by two PERSONAL servers named Victoria & Albert and they feed you a huge seven course delicious meal and can even get wine pairings with each course.
The whole meal lasts about 2 hours, so be ready to enjoy each others conversations in a beautiful enviroment.

The prices will be over $90 each person, so it is pricey, but if you want a fun, indulgent, experience only the magic of Walt Disney World can provide, you won't be disappointed!
Have a great vacation!
