I hear all about a game called sims but wat is the game about? Is it a vertual world just a game like pool or what?

No it is a game that you create yourself and you can creat other people and get theme and your Sim (you) married. You can have kids and you can design your home. Also to get money you need to pick a good career. There are many different The Sims games to choose from. Also they make them for Game Cube PC PS2 GAB and DS. I'm asking for The Sims 2 for V day :)

The Sims is less of a virtual world, more of a virtual life. In The (original) Sims you help your sim with direction - go to the bathroom, get a job, watch tv, kiss so-and-so, and help them get married and eventually have kids, and reach the top of their career, meanwhile buying them better and more expensive things so that they can be more comfortable. You can also, with expansion packs, have parties, go on vacations, raise pets, try for a more interesting career (actor, musician, model), go to town to pick up a date... and that's about that.
In The Sims 2 (which is a vast improvement), you can not only do all (or most of, depending on which expansion packs you have) these things, but your children will also grow up, go to college, become adults, and have children of their own. Your Sim has goals (aspirations), which you try to meet in order to make them happier and live longer. Your Sims can die a natural death in the Sims 2, where they could only die from fire or electrocution or starvation in the Sims 1.
It's a very fascinating game, and besides being able to pick and choose which furniture your people have, you also have a wide array of wallpaper and carpets, and the building mode for their homes is just amazing - and only gets better in the Sims 2. There is a very large community online dedicated to providing downloadable objects and items and decor for your sims, and if you want to drop $200, picking up the Sims 2 and its expansion packs might be worth your time. :) Or not - I'd start with just the game first, if you're interested.

The game called Sim is about computerized people that you can control. You can make them baths/showers, read the newspaper, watch tv, find a job, just about anything you want them to do, heck you can even make them kill themselves. The Sims is a like a life simulation, you have to play your character, build his/her house, and run their lives. Things you have to do are things like increase their intelligence, cooking skills, socialize them, bathe them and get them jobs. Their is also a game SimCity, by the same production company, where you act as the mayor and build and manage a city

What kind of game is Sims? A stupid one. Its about living, but you can just live your own real life and stop pretending.
My opinion, I never liked the game, even if its very popular...
