Quite an equal amount of bands: both bands influenced me, although Metallica has influenced me more. Sure their new stuff sucks, but hey, take the good with the bad.

*All the artists from "The Blackest Album" volumes 1-4

Green Day has influenced:
My Chemical Romance
That's all I can name.
Who's a better band:
Both are pretty equal. They've survived being called sellouts. Even though Green Day is my all time favorite band, my listed influence in guitar playing is not Billie Joe. It's Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield.

I would have to say Metallica. Green Day is good but I think that Metallica influences bands more.

Don't really know... I would have to say in my opinion, Metallica, but only the Metallica from the 80's.

Metallica and Greenday both were 2nd generation bands. Metallica is crap, especially their old stuff.

are you out of your mind? you should be thrown in jail for using the two bands in the same sentence. Metallica influenced A LOT more bands.
