I'm not sure about the station, I've never taken Greyhound. I've been to Orlando many times and never really been by any bad neighborhoods, so I would assume you will be ok.

When you drop off your bags at your hotel , ask if they have a room available. Many times there will be a room, it may not meet all of your requests, such as location. This way you can get to your room, get settled in and then head off. I'm not sure of where you will be staying, just be sure that the hotel is reliable. Some don't have a very secure area where you can put your things. Any valuables or essentials I would keep with me.

As far as what to do, that depends on what you are able to do and if you have a car. If you have passes, you can always go to one of the parks, for example if you have a long Disney pass, you can use it to go for the rest of the day. You can get a bite to eat and one of the numerous restaurants, go shopping, putt-putt, etc.

There is a ton to do, I'm sure you won't be bored!!

Have a great time!

Do you know if it is the Greyhound station on N John Young Pkwy? If that's the one, then it isn't in the best part of town.
I don't know what hotel you are going to stay at, but I have lived in Orlando for many years. I would hope there is a taxi cab there that could take you to your hotel. I would not go walking outside the bus terminal, especially if you have bags that you have to cart around. If you take a cab to your hotel, then you could go somewhere for breakfast. But it depends on where your hotel is located.
