Well grasshopper are herbivores, so they have relationships as plant feeders, so one of their roles is in the control of various plants. Because of this, they act as first order consumers (food chain) and they are eaten by a wide variety of animals including birds, mammals, reptiles, spiders, and other insects, and not to mention, in places like Thailand, they are delicacy for people also. They essentially fit into that very important link on the food web as first order consumers, and then the prey for a whole slue of predators, so they are actually very important in the ecosystem.

Only a "Princess" like Ang would hate Buffy. Or perhaps she just lacks the brain cells to get it. My friend Scorpius hit the nail on the hammer. BTVS dealt with complex social, personal and dare I say it even sexual issues. I also agree that season 1 is childdish but it introduces the series and establishes the characters and their personalities. Plus a lot of the eps have cliffhanger endings. "Nightmares" is a great episode watch out for the symbolism! Season 2 is a plunge into character development and histories. "Passion" is so emotional (hence the name) it is also the first and only ep with a narration by one of the core characters. Hold on tight for season 3- It pulls seasons 1 and 2 together and adds a kick. It begs the nature vs nuture relationships vs roles questions. This season is also thought of as the best of the series by most fans. If you think you know what's going to happen next trust me you DON'T. Season 4 is about growing up. Everytime I watch "Wild at Heart" I cry (and I hate romantic love). If you are new to the BTVS series and I cannot stress this enough do not miss "Hush"! it was nominated for an Emmy in the US the reason being the concept was never done in modern times. Season 5 is about love, cememting those realtionships that will always mean the most to us and what a person will do to protect the ones they love. Don't miss "Tabula Rasa" Try to keep a dry eye during "The Gift". Season 6 focuses on growing up in the real world and finding yourself and perhaps not liking that person very much. "Once More with Feeling" is also a groundbreaking episode never attempted in an episode at the time. In fact another popular show at copied the method for one of it's episodes. It's a clever gateway episode Some fans may find this season a little slow but believe me it picks up and when you find out who the "big bad" (Buffy inspired phrase) is you will be shocked out your socks. "Victims" is an episode I will never say "bored now" "(another buffy phrase) about. I can watch it until my eyes bleed. Season 7 brings it all full circle grasshopper. Relationships change and a new enemy threatens everyone's "environment" and "sense of self" In case you haven't caught on BTVS was innovative in it's methods of presenting themes that have been around since the dawn of time in the form of monsters and settings. The excellent character development and references to it's own history really made you care about what was going to happen to the characters more than how the current predicament was going to be resolved This and my love of sci-fi is why I love BTVS
