Academic Contests and Awards?

Does anyone know of any academic contests or anything I can enter into.I am in the 8th grade and live in West Virginia. Please help I really like stuff like this but I can't seem to find anything on the web..

Your best bet is to go talk to your school counselor. She can tell you about the things that are available to you in your area. She can also help you register. If you register through your school then sometimes they can help pay the fees, and they also get recognition for having a student that is successful.
