Hahaha, "bass manufacturer". The Colonel probably hasn't played a manufactured bass in years. An interviewer was talking to him about how much he might have to pay to acquire one of Les's Thompson basses, and just threw out a number, something like $10,000. Les goes, "Sh!t man, they cost ME more than that." And keep in mind he's been a steady customer of Carl's since the semi-early days of Primus.
