I am running windows xp, I have tried just plugging it in. It doesn't work, it says I have a connection, but when I try to use the internet, I get a page saying no internet connection.

Are you running Windows XP? IF so, then you don't need any drivers. Easiest thing to do is hit the Reset button on the back and hook it up. It will configure itself just fine. If you need to set up advanced features, then just log into it from your PC @ 192.168.1.1 username admin and password admin.

You don't need a driver for it.

All you need to know is what the IP for the device is (and any subsequent username/password that you may have set on it).

Typically, the default management IP is: 192.168.1.1

Open up your internet explorer window and type in:

http://192.168.1.1 (press enter)

And you should get prompted for a username and password. If so, you know you've hit the device, and just enter in what you set it up with. If you don't know that, check Linksys' website (I've posted the product page in the source) and d/l your userguide. That should tell you how to reset your router (and password) back to it's default state.

Good Luck!

There really is no need for the install disk. All you need to do is plug your high speed modem into the Internet or WAN port and plug your PC(s) into the numbered jacks. If you need to program your router just type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser with blank username and password admin and follow the instructions your ISP gave you. This step is usually not needed.

Go to this site and locate your router. I see a version 1, 2, 3, and 4; therefore, you may need more information about your router.
