The Centers for Disease Control web site (a U.S. Government entity) is a good start. From there I linked to the second URL I've included, the journal Preventing Chronic Disease, January edition. Click on the Table of Contents and you'll find a bunch of topics - one of which might interest you enough to be a research topic. Hope I've helped.
