Can I change the color of my eyes with contacts?

I've heard of some contacts that change your eye color permanently/enhance eye color. I have brown eyes and wanted to know if there was any way I can make them a bit lighter. Is contacts the only way to change eye color? Isnt there something you can do to lighten your eyes

You could get contacts, but it wouldn't be permanent, just temporary contact lenses

I just asked the same question few days ago and this guy answered me with this article I find it very sad and risky. So I changed my mind and just stay true to myself. You should think about that too.

Below is a link to news article where a teenager lost his eye sight due to a novelty / color contact lense. There is plenty more of these articles throughout the world. Recently a girl wore a blue contact lense she purchased at a novelty stall in a mall. She went blind as well.

The reason it's so dangerous is because people that make novelty or color contact lenses aren't proper manufactures. They don't know what is required to make a contact lense. They just know the basic design. They don't understand the eye needs to breath and you need it to be made a certain way to get that.

Personally I say your eye sight is more important than fashion or looks but if your really set to get color contact lenses than get them from a professional optometrist. They will prescribe a proper contact lense that won't damage your eyes. It will be more expensive and they'll probably think your an ldiot but it's better than losing your eye sight.

Well, contacts can but they can't permanently change the color of your eyes. They just appear different when you have the lenses in. Plus, I really don't like the colored contacts because they make your eyes look REALLY weird.

Contacts are the only way to change eye color, and they come in a variety of shades/colors. They were all the rage about 10 yrs. ago or so.

no eye contacts wont permanently change your eye color. But you can buy colored eye contacts that will change the color of your eyes for that day but only if you got the contacts in. you got to buy the colors you want.

MY OH MY!! does it really change the eye colour??? im using contacts for 9 years now...n my eye color dint change a bit!!! no sweety, it wont change ur eye color permanently..jus the color of the contact lense wil b seen if u use them...oh yea...if u r so eager for a change u wud havto have an "eye ball" change ;-) heehee

you can not change your eye color.... thats what you were born with...its natural and you cant even change it with some kind of surgery.. your eyes can be different color with color contacts...and thats only til you take them off...just like a perm or hair color...you can keep dying your hair the same color all your life but your natural hair color will be there when it grows out it wont change not even a little bit...and a perm is also only temporary ....the straight hair will always grow back.

Absolutely you can change them! They have all sorts of contacts that do that. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any other way of lightening your eyes. Well, at least I wouldn't want to, anyway. :)

you can't change your eye color.. its impossible you are stuck with what your parents gave you. You can have temporary eye color when you place the contacts on..

only color contacts...i have brown eyes naturally, right now my eyes are blue, but ive had green and purple before
