Teenage pregnancy is technically defined as occurring when women under the age of 20 become pregnant, although in the United States, the term usually refers to girls younger than 18 years of age.

anyone 13-19 who gets pregnant

“When people talk about teenage pregnancies they are usually talking about unplanned pregnancies”

wrong! Believe me, there are teens between 13-19 who WANT a baby.

“They don't take into account girls at eighteen or nineteen, married and starting their families, these are teenage pregnancies too.”

Most of the time, these people are too immature to know what real marriage is! What happened to their schooling? Did they quit it just to work and start a family? Most of those who got married at this age are no longer with their spouse.

It´s between the ages of 13 and 18. That is when you become a teenager. So when someone becomes pregnant during those ages it´s a teen pregnancy.

Hope that helps...

Normally I would answer this one with sarcasm, however as I am from the UK your classed as an adult at 18. So that would mean a girl over the age of 18 is classed as a WOMAN yet still refered to as a teenager, although their attitudes are not so different!

Teenage pregnancy is when a young women between the ages of 13 and 17 gets pregnant, you could say 18 and 19 but because in all states that is a legal age it really does not fall into the same category. This will include planned and unplanned, married and unmarried, usually unmarried and unplanned but teen means teen.

someone who makes a stupid decision when they are 13-19 years old. they are still called teenage when they are 19 or 18 and by the way "tink" it's not the legal age for everything. To gamble and drink, you have to be at least 21.

This question is not as daft as it seems. There has been a lot of hype in the press over the years about teenage pregnancies and most of the hype was negative. When people talk about teenage pregnancies they are usually talking about unplanned pregnancies of girls just into their teens and link it to falling moral standards. They don't take into account girls at eighteen or nineteen, married and starting their families, these are teenage pregnancies too.
