Travellers checks are , or are at least supposed to be accepted at any legitimate business. But I have to ask... Why use them at all? I travel all over the world and use my visa debit card every where I go without any trouble at all. You have the protection of your banks protection every where you go, and in most cases, you aren't liable if your card is stolen or used for fraudulent purchases. Check it out, ask your local home bank and see if they can help you out. If they can't, there are several online banks that are as good, if not better than a brick and mortar bank. good luck!
