You know him better than we. A gift from a pound shop (like a stuffed animal holding a heart, silk flowers), and a card would be a nice low cost way to celebrate your love.

Dress up as a waitress and serve him all night just for fun - you will enjoy it as well. Mind you you are relatively newly married, but a bit of oomph is just what you need to keep it leaping. Good luck girl - it never fails for me. My partner likes the schoolgirl look, and if it stops me having to do housework then I am game!!

Valentines is not only about giving/getting jewelry...how about everything you give eachother be made by you...make your own heart shaped cards...set up a scavenger hunt in the house/bedroom/or local park...decorate the house with petals everywhere...doesn't have to be roses-they can be expensive...wear an outfit that they like one you...doesn't have to be a new one...write things that you like about each other or would like to do to each other...get two boxes- one for wife and one for husband...switch the boxed so you have his and he has yours...you can pick one every night and stretch Valentines out...or read them all that night...you can also leave little "i love you" notes in places you know he can find like or "you complete me"...lol...a little corny but cute...small things work!

Men are not as into this day as women are. They know that it's basically created to please the women so he's probably more nervous about what to get you. I say for him give him something thoughtful think Christmas but a bit more romantic. Maybe a book for couples, a coupon book, create something, trail of kisses that lead to you waiting for him with a big kiss, a picture of you looking your sexiest ;). Don't fret over it too much. Don't think birthday because that might throw you off. Poetry, dance, sing, cd with fave music (yours or his). Cooking never fails!

Have a picnic, watch a movie at home and make snarky comments about it, turn on a romantic song and slow dance with him, or the classic, greet him in the buff!

~A~t Lush they do lovely massage bars- I work there at the moment, but last year I didn't and I bought my fiance one- I have to say it is the most succesful gift I've ever got him- they cost around £4 and there are heaps of scents to choose from and unlike the sort you get from ann summers they are made with cocoa butter and essential oils, so are so much nicer for your skin. I love giving massages as much as recieving
