Roto - Each of your active players scores in all the categories throughout the entire season. The highest in each category gets the most points, second place gets the next highest points, down to last which gets one point. The manager with the most overall points wins the league. No playoff.

H2H - Each of your active players scores in all categories or a one week "series" against a single opponent. Your team gets one point for each category that you win. If you outscore your opponent for the week, you get a Win for the week. At the end of the regular season there is a playoff between the top six teams with the top two teams getting a bye week.

Points - Each stat category gets points assigned to it. (EX: 1HR=4 points, SB=2 points, Win=10 points). The points from all the categories are combined and accumulate over the season with the high scorer winning the league. No Playoffs

Points leagues are the most complicated. I'd start with H2H and try a Roto next if you play more teams.

A rotisserie league is you compete against every person in the league every night. Head to head league is that you compete against one other person in your league for one week and who ever has the best stats wins. Points league is that you compete against everybody and your points get tallied up and then who ever has the most points at the end of the season wins.

rotisserie league is all thetats from all the players add up over the whole season to make points in each category were you rank... like if you have 349 hr over the whole year and you have the most HR you will get 10points for the category.... head to head each week you play some one... at the end for every category you win you get points.... baseball at the end of a week it could be 6-4 but in football witch is the only different one you get points for what each player does... so for every 20 yards your WR goes you will get 1 point and at the end of the week who has the most points is the winner..... head to head is the best and the only way to go...... but try one of each league because you can sign up for 4leagues of each sport...... i hope this helps......

The other guy explained the differences, but head-to-head is probably best to start with, and I think it's more fun anyway (That's the only kind I play).
