Ate- in Greek mythology, personification of the rash temper that leads men to folly and misfortune. She was the daughter of Zeus, who, angered by her mischief, cast her from Olympus. In Greek tragedy she was an avenger of evil deeds and thus was similar to Nemesis and the Furies.
arete- in the greek mythology it is the name of a queen of phaecians,wife of alcinous.The origin of her name seems to be disputed. It is associated with the Greek word meaning "to pray", but more likely means "excellence". Other sources say that it means "righteous", or connect it with Ares, Greek god of war.

Hubris-excessive pride, wanton violence;

Nemesis Greek Mythology. The goddess of retributive justice or vengeance

hubris is when a mortal overestimates his own power and thinks he is equal to the gods. for example, icarus died because he flew too close to the sun; the fact that he went too close to the sky and the gods. hubris is often punished.
