Wicked and Son of a Witch by Maguire. They're marvelous.
Also Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and Mirror Mirror by Maguire.
The Inheritance Trilogy, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and the Chronicles of Narnia are all really good too. Enjoy!

"Such a pretty girl" by Laura Weiss (Fiction)

You won't be able to put this book down.

A wonderfully written books that deal with scientific and religious discoveries and conflicts.

Into motorbikes ?? Ewan Macgregor and Charley Boorman writing 'The Long Way Around'. Good factual clever writings about the tour that Ewan and Charley took by attempting to ride their motorcycles around the world via russia, north china, america and then back to London. I give it a 8 out of 10 - Plently of good pictures as well (even if the are always of the events about to come - so you find yourself flicking back and forth alot).

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume - it's not one of her pre-teen books, it's a wonderful story about lifelong friendship and what we learn from our closest and often most difficult relationships.
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers - an American Literary Classic, one of the best books I've ever read.
Cane River by Lalita Tademy - spans several generations and is a wonderful read.
